This five-part promise is the key to our strong relationships with solicitors and clients. We constantly monitor results so that we can improve the experience for all concerned.

 

Accessibility
We’ll be happy to meet you in one of our conference rooms or at a location of your choice. An appropriate venue can be arranged for wheelchair users 

 

Sometimes you may wish to speak informally with a barrister rather than issue a formal instruction - that's no problem at all. We encourage you to contact us whatever your requirement.

 

Once you instruct us you can communicate in any medium that suits you: face-to-face, by phone, email or fax.

 

Occasionally you may need access to counsel at short notice or outside normal business hours. We aim to be as flexible as possible. If your barrister is unavailable our clerks will find a suitable replacement. Wherever possible we encourage you to copy our clerks with instructions that you email to barristers; this ensures that we can take action if your contact is unavailable.

 

Timeliness
When you instruct us we establish the level of urgency with you and agree a timeframe. We never forget that time is money and aim to complete all legal work as quickly as we can. If it looks as though there might be a delay, we’ll let you know as soon as possible and help make alternative arrangements if necessary.

 

Court attendance
It is clearly beneficial for counsel to attend all important hearings – this is one of our priorities. If exceptional circumstances force a barrister’s absence, we will find a suitable substitute and ensure they are fully prepared. Occasionally it may be cost-effective for a less senior barrister to attend an interim hearing. We will advise you when this is the case and involve you in identifying the right person to attend.
