Our offer - and how to apply for pupillage

 

Funding
Each year we offer two fully-funded, 12-month pupillages. For 2010/11 our pupils will receive an award of £22,500.  Up to £7,500 of this may be drawn down during the preceding year in three tranches of £2,500, with the balance paid in equal monthly instalments during the pupillage year.

 

In addition, pupils usually have the opportunity to earn fees from practice in the second six months of pupillage, averaging between £500 and £1,000 per month. Such earnings are not guaranteed, however, and the receipt from clients of sums earned may not take place during the pupillage year.

 

Pupillage Co-ordinators
The administration of pupillage is carried out by the pupillage co-ordinators, Mary Glass and Robert Harrap. You are encouraged to raise any matters of concern with them. All discussions are confidential.

 

Holiday Entitlement
You are entitled to paid holiday of 20 days per year, with 10 days to be taken in each 6-month period.

Application Deadline for Pupillages starting in October 2011

Signed and completed Application Forms must be received in Chambers by 4pm on Friday 30th April 2010. Applications must be submitted using our own form, on paper. Forms sent by email will not be accepted.

 

Interviews will be held from the end of June and offers will be made at the end of July in line with the OLPAS timetable.
