Spring Housing Conference


Monday 23rd April 2012 

 
Five Paper's team of Property & Housing barristers presents a one-day conference for social housing lawyers working with local authorities, RSLs and in private practice.
 
The conference will address a number of current issues facing housing lawyers and an update of recent developments in housing law.
 
The day will feature workshops, led by members of Five Paper's Property team, in which delegates will discuss the practical application of the law in small groups.
 
The venue for the conference is historic Cambridge Cottage, set within the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew. After the conference, participants will be free to explore the gardens until 6.30pm.
 
The conference will provide 5 hours CPD (Law Society, Bar Council & CILEx).

9.30 - Registration and coffee
 
10.00 - Welcome and opening plenary session:  
           Recent developments and the Localism Act
 
11.00 - Coffee
 
11.15 - Workshop 1 - choose between:
   a) Homelessness, or
   b) Succession 
   
12.45 - Lunch
 
1.45 - Workshop 2 - choose between:

   a) Leasehold Valuation Tribunal, or

   b) Anti-social Behaviour
 
3.15 - Tea
 
3.30 - Closing Plenary session, Discussion and Q & A
 
4.30 - Reception: drinks and an opportunity to explore 
         Kew Gardens
 
6.30 - Kew Gardens close.
